Phil has been involved in venture capital and private equity since 1995 and joined Investor Growth Capital’s technology investment team in 2004. Phil works out of IGC's Menlo Park office and focuses on investments in software and technology-enabled services businesses.
Prior to joining IGC, Phil spent four and a half years with Morgan Stanley Venture Partners where he was responsible for sourcing and executing investments in later stage software and services companies. Phil also spent two years before joining MSVP with Morgan Stanley Capital Partners focusing on investments in software, data communications, and media businesses.
Phil earned an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BA from Princeton University.
Phil serves as a director on the boards of ID Analytics, InQuira, Novariant, Visible Technologies, and Venda and as a board observer with ePAC, ForeSee Results, and Mindjet. Phil also worked with IGC's investments in Siperian (acquired by Informatica), Visiprise (acquired by SAP) and Vallent (acquired by IBM).
