Investor’s Credit Rating Improves

Reviews made by rating agencies during the fall have reaffirmed Investor’s high credit worthiness.

Standard and Poor’s has changed the outlook from negative to stable and affirmed Investor’s AA- long term rating. “The outlook revision follows Standard and Poor’s review of Investor’s portfolio, investment and risk management strategies and policies. The rating reflects the strong capital structure and excellent financial flexibility,” states Standard and Poor’s.

Moody’s has reaffirmed Investor’s A2 long-term rating and maintains a positive outlook. The positive outlook reflects rising market valuations of Investor’s investments, large realized gains and net debt reduction, and decreasing market volatility.

When commenting the various factors that would trigger a further upgrade, Moody’s states: “Most of these criteria have been achieved to date, but with a relatively short track record for the high rating category so that sustainability still needs to be demonstrated.”

“We have been working closely with the rating agencies for a long period of time to demonstrate Investor’s strong credit profile. This is another illustration of the large confidence that the financial market has in our company,” says Investor CFO Lars Wedenborn and Treasurer Christer Eriksson.
