Investor creates value by investing capital in holdings and assuming an active and committed role in their development. Investor’s operations are conducted in four business areas: Core Investments, Private Equity Investments, Operating Investments and Financial Investments.
The mix of well established, leading companies, growth companies, wholly owned subsidiaries and financial investments spreads risks well and provides a solid base for generating healthy long-term returns to shareholders.
Each business area has a different focus, which creates a flexible platform for taking advantage of attractive new investment opportunities in several sectors.
The total value of Investor’s holdings on December 31, 2009 amounted to SEK 143.3 bn. 75 percent of Investor’s holdings were listed and 25 percent were unlisted.
Core Investments represented 74 percent of total assets, while Operating Investments and Private Equity Investments accounted for 11 percent and 13 percent, respectively. Financial Investments represented 2 percent.
The largest investments on December 31, 2009 in terms of value are ABB, Atlas Copco and SEB which together accounted for 45 percent of Investor’s total assets.
Investor’s sector exposure was: Industrial 33 percent, Healthcare 24 percent, Financials 16 percent, IT & Telecom 13 percent, Consumer discretionary 10 percent and Other 4 percent.
