Investor creates value by investing capital in holdings and assuming an active and committed role in their development. Investor’s operations are conducted in four business areas: Core Investments, Private Equity Investments, Operating Investments and Financial Investments.
The mix of well established, leading companies, growth companies, wholly owned subsidiaries and financial investments spreads risks well and provides a solid base for generating healthy long-term returns to shareholders.
Each business area has a different focus, which creates a flexible platform for taking advantage of attractive new investment opportunities in several sectors.
The total value of Investor’s holdings on September 30, 2008 amounted to SEK 119.4 bn. 73 percent of Investor’s holdings were listed and 27 percent were unlisted.
Core Investments represented 72 percent of total assets, while Operating Investments and Private Equity Investments accounted for 14 percent and 13 percent, respectively. Financial Investments represented 1 percent.
The largest investments on September 30, 2008 in terms of value are ABB, Astra Zeneca and Atlas Copco, which together accounted for 61 percent of Investor’s total assets.
Investor’s sector exposure was: Industrials 33 percent, Financials 15 percent, Pharma 15 percent, IT & Telecom 14 percent, Medtech 12 percent, Consumer discretionary 8 percent and Other 3 percent.
