Exponential Roadmap Initiative and UNFCCC Race to Zero

The Exponential Roadmap Initiative is for innovators, transformers and disruptors taking action in line with 1.5°C, with the mission to halve emissions before 2030 through exponential climate action and solutions. It brings together leading businesses committed to halving emissions before 2030 towards net-zero, integrating climate in business strategy and influencing climate action in society, as described by the 4 pillars of the 1.5°C Business Playbook

The Exponential Roadmap Initiative is an entry point for businesses to join the United Nations’ Race to Zero campaign which rallies non state actors to take immediate action to halve global emissions by 2030 and deliver a healthier, fairer zero carbon world in time. All members are committed to the same overarching goal: reducing emissions across all scopes swiftly and fairly in line with the Paris Agreement, with transparent action plans and robust near-term targets.

In 2020, the scope 1 and 2 emissions for Investor AB equaled 88 tonnes, a reduction of 26 percent compared to 2016. To reach our target, Investor will continue to minimize carbon emissions from our energy use and company cars. Investor also has a target to reduce emissions from our value chain, related to emissions from our overall portfolio (read more under Responsible Owner).
